Tea Time for One





Here in N FL we are experiencing some lovely weather with cooler temperatures and low humidity. I always have to take advantage of this kind of weather because next week the humidity will be back and temperatures will be rising. A wonderful time to be gardening but at Tea Time it is time to take a break and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors.



A toile tablecloth to cover the table and my Fall pillows for comfort.



My tea staying warmed by my Janear glass teapot. It is a German made teapot.



My tea of choice is a Tarragon Tea. I grow the Mexican Tarragon in a pot on my patio. I would prefer growing French Tarragon but it is of similar taste and the French variety will not grow well in our heat and humidity. I love the licorice taste of Tarragon and I have been told it is a good tea for tummy issues.



I always use Demera Sugar in my tea with a splash of lemon and a slice of lemon as well.



A Bannana Nut Muffin pared well with my Tarragon Tea to hold me over until dinner time. I worked up an appetite while gardening.



Taking the time to savor the afternoon with Tea for One is a "Good Thing".



My Furry babies enjoyed the afternoon also. On the left is my Cavelier King Charles Spaniel, Miss Scarlet and on the right is my rescued Beagle, Huey.



I think Miss Scarlet wanted some of my Bananna Nut Muffin.

    Your certainly do have a wonderful place in north Florida. It is so beautiful there and you can enjoy the change of seasons much more than I... we are just to far south :)

    I have never heard of Mexican tarragon. I grow the French and it just thrives on my neglect.
    So simple a table and so inviting. Nice of you to share your muffin.

    Cute doggies, who could resist. I bet she got a piece of muffin!!! Love your teapot. I've heard of them and how pretty they are and how good the tea is. Florida is so beautiful no a pretty day and your garden is the perfect choice for a little treat!

    Absolutely gorgeous!!! I don't think one could ask for a prettier setting for tea...I love your garden table and chairs! Ohhh...and that beautiful toile tablecloth...gorgeous!!! I love, love, LOVE that pretty tea cup and saucer! I know that I've seen that pretty pattern before but can't remember the name...do you know? It really is one of the prettiest that I've seen...I love the pretty pale yellow with the black and white transferware pattern!

    I must admit...I'm more of a coffee drinker than a tea drinker! I've never tried tarragon tea! What a lovely tea table you've set...I sure did enjoy it!!!

    very interesting teapot...I have not heard,nor have I tried tarrigon tea!! I would like to try some ;herbs grow very well here in SC. Oh I noticed in the post for food friday, or whatever, that you mentioned the cookbook by the Barefoot contessa---my MIL and I had a joke about her always having either, cream, butter or cheese in her recipes....I keep wondering why she hasn't had a heart attack yet! Wonderful looking recipes, but I could never indulge--I have inherited cholesterol issues and have to be on a horribly strict diet--poooweee (my tablescape is at the spindle cottage blog---I have assorted blogs and it can get confusing!!

    Hey again. I saw a teapot similar to this one just now in one of my mail order mags. It said you can put boiling water in it and it is also micowave safe. It said it was 40 oz---this one looks identical to yours---soo I am wondering if you put boiling water in yours? I have a little glass teapot that I got one time and you can't microwave it and can't put boiling water in it. Anyways fill me in on yours. The place I have found this is at www.lakeside.com
