Enjoying Spring Blooms
Here in my neck of the woods of North Florida, we are a little ahead of the rest of the country in terms of Spring. My Mock Orange bloomed several weeks ago but I wanted to share this special plant that produces this beautiful little bloom, almost looking like a dogwood. It gets fairly tall and is quite an invasive plant but I do love it even though we only enjoy it for such a short time.
I love how it just cascades over other plant material in my garden.
A new "find" was this Blue Spode Italian vase and it just begged for something cut from the garden to be placed in it and enjoyed. Late in life I have begun this fascination of blue and white mainly due to a much admired friend who has a massive collection of blue and white. I am so guilty of seeing something that others have and wanting the same thing. I can't believe that I just admitted to that but it's true.
Sometimes it is the most simple things in life that bring so much JOY.
It's the beginning of a new week and I am looking forward to a busy but a great week. You all have a great one too, Carolyn

When home I most often keep a lit candle with some kind of kitchen fragrance and I think it makes for a welcoming vignette for me as well as a guest that may have dropped by. We always gather in my kitchen since it is central to my home.Sometimes it is the most simple things in life that bring so much JOY.
